Fishmeal is a brown powder obtained by rendering and pressing the cooked whole fish to remove most of the fish oil and water, and then dried. The raw material used for processing is primarily Indian Oil Sardine, Indian Mackerel, lesser sardine & other low economic value fishes caught from cleaned & pollutant free water of Arabic sea ( FAO 51 Zone).

FISHMEAL – PRODUCTION PROCESS
Fishmeal production process consists of four major stages
Steam-jacketed commercial cooking of fish; and movement using a screw conveyor. The fishmeal manufacturing capacity of the factory decides the individual capacity of the cooker and conveyors.
The resultant cooked fish is compressed inside perforated tubes; thereby separating liquid from pressed cake.
A heated tumbling drum dries the press cake.
The dried fishmeal goes through a sterilized grinding process to remove any bone particles.

Our production facility is technologically competent to extract the entire protein content and oil, thus utilizing 100% of the fish and minimizing wastage. Fishmeal and Fish Oil are produced by a continuous and carefully controlled process that involves cooking, pressing, drying and milling of fresh raw fish. The quality of the product is tested at laboratories and batches are segregated according to their specifications.

Quality Assurance Steps Taken By Us
- No animal protein, flesh, or blood is allowed inside the factory premises.
- The freshest of the fish is used in the manufacturing process.
- A sample from every lot is first analysed in our own lab(for domestic & export) and then sent to another independent laboratory as per buyer requirement.
- Proper cooling of the cargo excludes a mould or lump formation.
- Only after the receipt of the test report of satisfaction from the reputed Testing Agency, the cargo is loaded to the container.
- The whole cargo is fumigated to protect it from insects.
- Periodic inspection, to ascertain the proper standards of hygiene, by the local Health officials is made to ensure stringent quality standards.
